The owners of large social media platform and the largest corporate behemoths (AKA: robber barons) want you to stay inside a little pod for the entirety of your life. Every online space from twenty years ago that we once referred to as the virtual public square has turned into hellscape of grift and terror. Folks who don't know how to use a computer or don't understand the fundamentals of the internet are doomed. They think those four or five websites ARE the internet. This is by design.
